About the Motorsports Hall of Fame and Museum

Heroes Live Here Every Day

The Motorsports Hall of Fame of America is the hall of fame of motorsports. Founded in 1989, it’s the only hall that honors all major forms of motorized competition: Open Wheel, Stock Cars, Sports Cars, Motorcycles, Powerboats, Aviation, Off-Road, Historic, and more.

Our annual induction ceremonies have been likened to the Oscars of motorsports. Our nearly 300 inductees represent the greatest names in racing history. Induction is decided by 200 voters, half of them independent experts, the other half inductees themselves like Mario Andretti, Tony Stewart, Kevin Schwantz, Richard Petty, Chip Ganassi, Linda Vaughn, Don Garlits, Janet Guthrie, Chip Hanauer, Hurley Haywood, Darrell Greenamyer, Dario Franchitti, Al Unser Jr., Don Prudhomme and Rusty Wallace.

Come visit our museum on the grounds of Daytona International Speedway — the World Center of Racing — where you can enjoy a tour of this historic venue, then join us for a multi-dimensional, selfie-worthy experience. Open 7 days a week except major holidays.

See some of the world’s most celebrated racing vehicles and artifacts. Take a turn on our advanced racing simulators, where you can drive Daytona, Indy, Monza, and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Watch racing action in our 250-seat big-screen theater. Prefer to visit us virtually? Or, to preview all the fun? Of course! Interact with us on  Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. We look forward to seeing you soon!
